One of the best programs for losing weight that one can apply is the HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program. This program has been designed for overweight and obese people. There are some precautions that need to be taken, before you can enter the program. This HCG diet program is based only on HCG therapy and diet regulation. No exercises are involved. On account of this, obese people with other health issues should undertake this program, only under the supervision of a HCG doctor.

If the HCG diet regimen can be strictly followed, 1 to 2 pounds can be reduced daily. By the end of the program, the weight loss can be more than 40 pounds.

In this program, you have to avoid foods containing starch and sugar. Fats will have to be avoided altogether. You can consume only certain foods recommended by the diet plan. These foods, together with HCG hormone will help in shedding the excess fat, and help you get back to your normal life.

You will be allowed to take only 500 calories of low-calorie food, after the third day. A regular dosage of the HCG hormone will also be given. The HCG diet is so designed that, in the first two days, you will have to eat forcibly, as much as possible. This gets a lot of fat stored in the body. Your intake being only 500 calories, your body will begin to burn this excess fat already stored in your body.

You will start on low-calorie diet of water and tea for breakfast, and small quantities of protein, vegetables and fruit, for lunch and dinner. During the initial few days, you will feel pangs of hunger biting your stomach. You get used to these VLCD supplements for the remaining 21 days.

Then you go into the third phase, the next 21 days. You can start adding starch in your food slowly. Calorie intake with more proteins can slowly be increased.

Watch your food intake daily maintain your weight constantly. On completion of the HCG diet program, you would have learnt that a regulated diet with high-protein foods will translate into long-term good health.
