The Use of Growth Hormone Treatment For Different Conditions

Human growth hormone (HGH) is a protein-based polypeptide hormone secreted in the pituitary gland. It is essential for growth and cell reproduction and when it is deficient, there is the need to replace it. Childhood-onset deficiencies can lead to growth disorders in children and in adults, HGH deficiency, can lead to obesity, a decrease in muscle mass and lethargy.

Because animal growth hormones are ineffective in humans, it was common before 1985 to source HGH from cadavers. However, since the discovery and introduction of semi-synthetic human growth hormone made by recombinant DNA technology, all HGH treatments have been with this newer preparation.

Growth hormone treatment is indicated in the treatment of HGH deficiencies whether in adults or children. It is also used in treating conditions that produce short statures even when unrelated to HGH deficiency. HGH’s effect in the body is generally anabolic i.e. it builds up. Therefore, it is essential for height in children. It also increases muscle mass and strengthens the bones. It breaks down fat, makes glucose available to the body, increase production of protein and improve the immune system. These varied positive effects of the hormone are the reasons it is used for treating conditions outside of HGH deficiency.

Conditions addressed by growth hormone treatment include shortness unrelated to HGH deficiency. Examples of these are Turner’s syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, intrauterine growth retardation, shortness of unknown causes. Treatment for these conditions usually involve giving a higher dose of HGH to accelerate growth, reduce body fat and increase muscle mass.

Growth hormone treatments have also been used in conditions not involving short stature at all. The treatment is used to address muscle wasting in AIDS. It is also used to enhance weight loss in obesity, help remission of multiple sclerosis, reverse the effects of aging; it is used in treating Crohn’s disease, heart failure, fibromyalgia, burns and to improve physical performance in athletics (which is why it is banned by most athletics bodies).

Perhaps the commonest use of growth hormone treatment outside addressing HGH deficiencies is its use as an anti-aging agent. While studies have shown increases in muscle mass and decrease in body fat, the other indicators of aging are largely unaffected by growth hormone therapy.

Lastly, it is important to know that the use of growth hormone is not without its side-effects, the incidences of which are low. However, for indicated uses, its benefits clearly outweigh these side-effects.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (hrt) and Alternatives

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an appropriate choice for some, but not all, women. On the benefit side, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) relieves hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and it may improve sleep, mood, and concentration. But there are also risks with hormone replacement therapy (HRT), including higher rates of breast cancer, stroke, blood clots in the legs and lungs, and (for older women) coronary heart disease. Moderate to severe symptoms, which affect about one in five newly menopausal women, are the only compelling reason to take hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Evidence indicates that a woman’s age and time since menopause (on average at the age of 51 in the US), along with her personal health status, influence the risk-benefit balance. The best candidate for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a younger, recently menopausal woman, one whose final menstrual period occurred less than five years earlier, who isn’t at high risk of heart disease, stroke, or blood clots.

To minimize risks, take the lowest dose of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) needed to make your hot flashes or night sweats tolerable. Low-dose preparations often provide relief comparable to standard-dose preparations. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is best used for only 2-3 years and generally no more than 5 years. Hot flashes and night sweats often peak in the first few years after the final menstrual period and then taper off, so most women won’t need hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for long-term relief.

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is not the only way to cool hot flashes. Layered clothing, portable fans, exercise, and paced respiration or other relaxation techniques can be very helpful, as can avoiding cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods. Alternatives to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) are soy, some botanicals, certain antidepressants, and the antiseizure medication gabapentin may be beneficial for some women. All women should try at least some of these strategies before considering hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has long been the medical standard, however, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is now questionable to side effects.

Anti-Aging Skin Care: Sleep is important for Anti-Aging, Relaxation and Longevity

Anti-aging skin care is a process, a lifestyle decision. So, how important is sleep for your daily anti-aging regimen?

Sleep is beneficial to the body and for the skin in many respects. Your body produces melatonin while you sleep which is claimed to be an anti-aging hormone. It’s great for the skin and the immune system. In the day, and when it’s light, you lose melatonin; conversely in the night and in the dark, you gain melatonin.

Whilst in the deep sleep phase, your body produces a growth hormone, which helps repair damaged cells. A good night’s sleep reduces stress which has a positive impact on the skin. Stress causes the skin to wrinkle, loose its collagen and elasticity levels faster, and produces cortisol(which is a stress hormone) and bad neurotransmitters. You’ve probably seen many people age before their time and wear permanent frown lines on their foreheads, due to stress.

To get your “beauty sleep” and to stay looking young, try going to bed the same time every night so that the body can adjust to a daily sleep routine and synchronize its internal clock. You should optimally obtain eight hours sleep every night to get the proper rest you require to allow the body to conduct its repair process. This golden rule is applicable to young and old. It’s a fallacy that older people need less sleep; in fact more sleep is necessary to produce more of the growth hormone and melatonin which keeps senior people looking younger for longer.

To get a good night’s sleep for increased longevity, and to aid anti-aging skin care, the following should be observed:

• Avoid ingesting sugar, sweets, alcohol and caffeine before retiring for the night.

• Be calm before sleeping; try to empty your mind from the clutter of the day, otherwise you might experience difficulty in falling asleep.

• Exercise regularly (this produces endorphins and will make you feel tired later) and get plenty of fresh air during the day.

• Try and take one power nap for not longer than 15 to 30 minutes during the day; longer than this will interfere with your sleep pattern in the night and disrupt your “body clock”.

• Enjoy a nice relaxing bath with scented bath oils in the evening. This will put you in a good, calm frame of mind before sleeping.

• Ensure that your bedroom environment is conducive to sleep and has proper ventilation.

Serotonin is the “feel good hormone” in our brains that begins the sleep cycle. As mentioned earlier, once asleep, the body then produces melatonin, and the growth hormone, and later on in the sleep process the sex hormones are produced, balanced and harmonized.

Sleep is the regenerative process for the body, aids digestion, stills and regulates the heart, brain, and circulatory system. The brain downloads and processes the information and events from the day. By not sleeping enough, this disrupts this cycle, which can leads to illness, susceptibility to disease and premature aging.

As an anti-aging skin care necessity, sleep’s main advantage to the skin is aiding in reduced stress levels, cell re-growth, hormone production and regulation, and a more relaxed dispensation. Obtaining proper sleep is important for looking younger than your years and enjoying a longer life.

Following The Hcg Diet Program For Success

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or HCG can certainly result in spectacular results when it comes to achieving your weight loss goals, but only if you follow the HCG diet program to the letter. It may seem like magic, but Dr. Simeons’ protocols are based on proven scientific principles. It is necessary to remember the old adage: when all else fails, follow the directions.

You will understand this better once you understand how HCG operates.

It’s Hormone Replacement Therapy

HCG is a byproduct of pregnancy and the gestation process. Dr. A.T.W. Simeon, a British endocrinologist who pioneered research in this area, discovered that HCG’s primary purpose is to protect the fetus from the actions of the mother’s system. It prevents the mother’s body from leeching nutrients from the fetus when undernourished. It also acts as a suppressant of the mother’s immune system around the fetus so that the presence of the father’s DNA does not trigger rejection.

Much of this HCG remains in our bodies after we our born. HCG regulates metabolism and how the body utilizes calories throughout childhood. Today’s diet of processed foods with chemical adulterants such as fertilizers, pesticides and preservatives robs us of our natural supply of this hormone. When we reach our early twenties, this natural supply of HCG has been largely depleted.

Why Most Diet Plans Fail

Without the regulating properties of HCG, most diet efforts cannot work. This is because of the way the hypothalamus utilizes fat, particularly when calories are restricted. The fat deposits around the abdomen and hips represent a reserve source of nutrition and calories, which the hypothalamus will hold on to regardless of the cost. When calories are restricted, the hypothalamus normally responds by easing up on the thermostat – in other words, slowing our metabolic rate to a crawl and cannibalizing lean muscle tissue. The excess fat that we are trying to rid ourselves of – adipose – is not used until all other sources have been exhausted.

Once HCG has been reintroduced into the system, the hypothalamus undergoes reprogramming that forces it to use adipose before anything else – provided that Dr. Simeon’s protocols are followed to the letter.

How To Succeed

After stuffing yourself with high fat food for two days, you will start a 500 calorie per day diet consisting of lean meats and fresh vegetables. You’ll want to avoid strenuous exercise as well. This is the heart of the HCG Diet Plan.

Hormonal Therapy When Cancer Has Spread Beyond the Prostate Gland

Once prostate cancer has spread beyond the prostate gland localized therapies are no longer sufficient to stop the growth of the cancer and treatment generally involves a combination of both radiation therapy to kill the cancer cells and hormonal treatment to slow the growth of the cancer by cutting off its fuel supply.

The aim of hormonal therapy is to cut off the production of the male hormones, such as testosterone, which fuel the growth of prostate cancer, or to render them ineffective, and this essentially means castration, either surgically or by other medical means such as using an antiandrogen drug to block the circulation of male hormones in the blood.

There are various different approaches when it comes to hormonal therapy and it is often a case of testing different combinations of drugs to discover what works best in individual patients. One approach is what is known as a ‘maximum androgen blockade’ which is a blanket approach using a wide range of drugs combined with either surgical or medical castration. This approach has proved effective in some patients but many doctors question whether it is in fact any more effective than standard hormonal therapy.

When it comes to considering whether or not to opt for the surgical removal of the testes or to choose medical castration this is not always an easy decision as surgical castration is understandably a major and life-changing step for many men. It is however an ultimate solution to the problem of the production of male hormones, unlike hormonal therapy which will simply block those hormones for as long as the therapy continues. If however you stop the therapy then, although it will generally take some time for cancer which has been slowed or halted to begin growing again, it will inevitably do so within a matter of months or at best within two or three years.

In either case there is also often a problem with some cancer cells which do not require testosterone to grow and here it is often necessary to use a second tier of hormonal drugs such as progesterone or hydrocortisone to deal with the problem.

One approach with hormonal therapy is not to use this simply as a treatment for advanced prostate cancer but in fact to start hormonal therapy as soon as prostate cancer is diagnosed, even if it is confined to a small area of the prostate gland and is slow growing. The aim here is to slow the growth of the cancer, and in some cases to actually shrink the tumor, so that it can possibly be confined to the prostate gland where it can do relatively little harm for the remainder of a patient’s life.

Despite the fear which surrounds prostate cancer, because it often appears late in life and does little if any harm as long as it is contained within the prostate gland, many men live quite happily with the disease and indeed die from a variety of other total disassociated conditions, including simple old age.

More Human Growth Hormone please visit : http://www.healthbeautyfaq.com

Can you grow taller at age 19 next to HGH injections, and if so how much?
I have read studies that kids taking HGH for years everyday only gain 1 to 2 more inches, but I be wondering if your bones havent closed if a surge of HGH at the age of 19, could instigate…

Can you inject HGH spray or powder?
The spray or powder can it be injected? NOOOOOO!! What ever you do, do NOT do that! You will die, i assure you, i’m am not wrong about this one! There is small traces of a preservative used in these products that is to say…

Can you merely ask for HGH, or do you hold to hold a medical problem?
Im 16, 6’3 and I want to play basketball in college as a center but i’m certain that i’ll call for to grow to at least 6’6. you dont have to grow 3 contained by to be a good player….

Can you merely ask your doctor for HGH if you want to be taller?
I would really want that. And how much would it cost. Your doctor would not give you HGH unless you have a authentic medical need for it. If you just want to be taller for no motivation other than that…

Can you thieve HGH releasers and metformin at equal time?
i have pcos, can i take metformin and a HGH releaser at equal time? or are should those medications not mix? never heard of a problem here, but you should phone your 24 hour pharmacy and ask before taking it. If you get your prescriptions…

Candidate for human growth hormone?
I’m 18, male…107 pounds and 5’4. I have an fresh face as well to cause it even worse. I look like i’m still in the 8th position. I’m not exaggerating at all. I’ve heard of HgH less and how it makes you look younger, shorter, and unable to crawl out….

Cheapest Human Growth Hormone (HGH) within London, where on earth??
Name of the place, internet address, some other info would be nice oh yeah and the price NOTE- i need INJECABLE hg3!! Ask your doctor. LOL Cheap HGH is like cheap caviar. Not a good view. Good luck with that LOL Why ask this…

Combination of testosterone, hGH, and insulin?
I am writing a paper on endocrinology and I need to discuss the risks and benefits of using those within combination to enhance athletic performance. Ive looked in the solid journals but can not find much, the internet sources seem useless also. Does anyone know any correct information…

Considering using HGH… what do you expect?
I am considering using HGH spray. My main goal is to abet decrease excess fat. I own a very large build and a fundamentally slow metabolism. Although I have a good amount of muscle mass, but my automatic metabolism (on the decline) won’t seem to let me grasp…

Corticosteroids and Human Growth Hormone, are they paired for treatment of asthma?
I am considering running a study on the effects of this combination, because from what I am guessing they might complement each other nicely surrounded by the treatment of asthma. I want to know if any studies have been done to determine the…

Could anyone report me if nearby are any change or unpromising side effects when you STOP taking HGH?
I do not know what to expect when I stop taking HGH not any major side effects… could a moment ago lose some of your appetite. not recover as quick from working out/injury. not enjoy…

Could HGH increase by 11cm? Doc’s support!?
I’m 15 yrs old, 164cm and aiming for around 176cm+ parents are : mother: 166 and dad’s around 169. I have a appointment coming soon but i purely wanted to know if i do get on HGH injections, could it trade name me reach at least 12cm contained…

Could human growth hormone be TRUE culprit for the amazing boost surrounded by operation surrounded by sports surrounded by the ultimate 10 yrs.?
I found out that the NFL tests for steroids but not human growth hormone. I also know that professional bodybuilding has stopped trying to experiment for it a long time ago. It…

Describe how you could go and get yeast cell to put together a human growth hormone.?
You take the gene that encodes HGH and put it into a plasmid that has a strong yeast promoter. You transform the yeast and select using a nutrient float like leucine or uracil. Make sure…

Design a human growth hormone expression plasmid?
Design a human growth hormone expression plasmid with the aid of a diagram. Identify the different components of the plasmid and the host for the propagation of the plasmid. thts the ques i hv been asked could some one pleeeeeeeeeaaaasssse serve me First, u’ve to isolate the…

Did Forrest Gump rob HGH or any sort of steroid?
He sure did run a lot and for a very long distance.something doesn’t put in up..hmm… It wasn’t steroids. It was shrimp. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it, there’s shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, gaping fried,…

Did someone use GenF20 HGH. Human growth harmon Releaser?
Did someone use GenF20 HGH. Human Growth Harmon Releaser? Thay claim a lot of benefits including reducing stomache fat, nouns sleep and over all good condition and stemina, including sexual potency. In fact they claim that it reduce your age 10 yrs or more,…

Did you know that the NFL does NOT trial for human growth hormone?
I read this today as I was reading about the drug/ alcohol theory test on the San Diego Chargers player that was shot by the police officer. It said tests show that he be intoxicated. They also tried to trace back the…

Divergent opinion btw M.D.’s on HGH?
How can 2 MD’s, equal quals and experience, disagree on the value of Human Growth Hormone Therapy? Is it a question of need of training, lack of post graduate study/reading? Lack of personal exposure? How can an ordinary individual engineer a determination about who is right and who is…

Do Doctors prescribe HGH (human growth hormone) for someone to gain immensity and muscle mass?
I am curious to know if doctors prescribe hgh and if they do, what needs to be required for them to do so. no not unless your deathly poorly which your probably not Yes, but they won’t admit that that’s…

Increasing Interest In Testosterone Replacement Therapy

More men aged 30 to 39 are having their hormone levels checked. They are coming in to cosmetic centers asking for complete health exams to determine their hormone levels with their testosterone level specifically in mind. The complete health exam includes thorough blood testing that allows professionals to determine the exact hormone levels; identifying any low levels or clinical deficiencies.

There has been information released in the last several years that firmly indicated that there was a common problem with under-use of testosterone replacement therapy. So the increase in the number of men looking to be tested isn’t hugely surprising. The info on under-use of testosterone replacement therapy came from a study that included information presenting the conclusion that testosterone deficiencies were under diagnosed and that deficiencies that were diagnosed were under treated.

Nature Reviews Urology study concluded:

1. Men of the ages 40 to 70 – 6% to 10% testosterone deficient

2. Men that are obese and/or diabetic – 15% to 30% testosterone deficient

3. Proper care for testosterone deficiencies (for instance testosterone replacement therapy administered by an experienced professional) occurs in less than 10% of men who have a deficiency.

When experienced professionals consider the recent influx in interest in testosterone replacement therapy they consider it probable that it is a direct result of the information released by organizations such as Nature Reviews Urology. Because men are more aware of the negative effects of being testosterone deficient they are searching out possible treatment methods.

Ignoring low testosterone or a clinical deficiency of testosterone can result in abnormal bone or muscle growth. It can result in a drastic decrease in virility, endurance and stamina. It can result in fatigue. And these are only a few of the symptoms. The problem with the symptoms are that they can be applied to a variety of disorders and conditions. To accurately identify a testosterone deficiency individuals must have their blood levels tested. Testosterone replacement therapy should not be administered without proper diagnosis verification.

Grow Younger With Human Growth Hormone Releaser Supplement?

Since my article “Lose Weight Gain Muscles With Human Growth Hormones” was published, I have received many emails asking about the scientific and research findings of this seemingly “miracle antidote for anti aging.” So is it true that supplementing with human growth hormones releasers can make us look and feel younger? These questions compelled me to do further research on the subject and here are more findings.

The human growth hormone (hgh) was first discovered in the mid 1950s and its structure was only identified in 1972.

Before 1998 when artificial synthetic HGH molecules were genetically engineered (steroids) and made available, hgh compounds were at that time extracted from cadavers and injected into the human body as HGH replacement therapy. Scary huh?

Since then, there have been hundreds clinical research and studies investigating the capabilities and supposed benefits of hgh. The scientific and medical communities is in agreement that one of the main causes of the aging process (dying process?) is the decrease of human growth hormone production as we age.

A President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Ronald Klatz, M.D once said, “The Aging process appears to be due in large part to the drastic decline of growth hormone in the body after adulthood.”

According to some human growth hormone research, the normal level of circulating HGH is about 10 mg per deciliter of blood in our early 20s but this level drop rapidly as we age and by the time we are 60 or so, the level will decrease by as much as 80% to only 2 milligrams per deciliter. Is it any wonder why we age so rapidly after 60?

It is now known that this growth hormone is what grow and repair our cells, bones, muscles and internal organs. It is also well established that the declining level of human growth hormones is the factor that slowly robs us of our youth and vitality because by the age of 30, the natural secretion rate of HGH in our bodies drop by about 14% per decade.

Going by this simple fact, by the time we turn 80, we would barely be able to produce enough growth hormones to repair a bruise on our toe! This thus explains why injuries on older people take a much longer time to heal, that is, if they do get healed.

In my profession as a fitness personal trainer, this is more evident to me as I am able to observe the workout recovery rate, muscle growth and weight loss effect on my clients first hand across the ages.

My younger clients are invariably (except for exceptional circumstances) able to recover faster from their weight training, lose weight faster and build muscle mass more effectively than my older clients. Of course this is not surprising although now we know why that is so.

The New England Journal of Medicine first published the clinical findings of Daniel Rudman, MD, regarding his HGH human growth hormone research on the anti-aging effects of HGH when he studied his research subjects of 61 to 81 year olds at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

After six months, Dr. Rudman observed a reversal of the aging process of 10 to 20 years in the patients who received HGH injections. This amzing fact meant that human beings can now reverse their biological age!

As for the group who did not receive hgh injections, the normal aging process continued as per normal.

Dr Rudman’s study also noted the amazing effects of HGH therapy on obese people between the ages of 61 and 80. The study subjects did not change their eating or exercise habits. The results are that those who were treated with HGH replacement therapy lost an average of almost 15% of their body fat and at the same time gaining an average of 8.8% lean muscle mass.

Their skin also became firmer and they further experienced increase in bone density. This discovery took the weight loss, bodybuilding and weight lifting industry by storm!

More clinical research studies performed over the past few decades further confirmed that hgh can allow users to lose fat, build muscle mass, improve sexual performance, remove wrinkles, get rid of man breast, reduce cellulite, grow taller and increase immune function. In other words, the fountain of youth may have been discovered!

”The effects of six months of human growth hormone on lean body mass and adipose-tissue were equivalent in magnitude to the changes incurred during 10-20 years of aging.” reported Daniel Rudman.

A study of growth hormone replacement therapy in the elderly published in March 1992, V.A. Medical Center and Department of Medicine, Stanford University Medical Center stated that “It is possible that chronic physiologic GH and or IGF-I replacement therapy might reverse (or prevent) some of these “inevitable” health problems of aging.”

”Replacement therapy with Growth Hormone has shown beneficial/normalizing effect on parameters such as cardiac and renal function, thyroid hormone metabolism, bone metabolism, sweat secretion, total and regional fuel metabolism and psychological well being…” – Dr. Jorgensen and Dr. Christian of Copenhagen, Denmark, in European Journal of Endocrinology, 1994

”Daily Administration of human growth hormone in the first week after trauma would enhance the metabolic status… resulting in reduced morbidity and earlier discharge from hospital.” – Journal of Surgery. Vol 111, 495-502 quoting Drs. Ramias, Shamos, and Schiller of St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, May 1992

”All adults with growth hormone deficiency should now be considered for growth hormone replacement therapy.” Dr. Jake Powrie, M.D. and Dr. Andrew Weissberger, St. Thomas Hospital, London England

As explained in my earlier article, growth hormone replacement injections are very expensive and are out of reach of most people. Furthermore, it can only be administered by a trained doctor making the process expensive, cumbersome and painful because patients will have to have the HGH injected a few times a day at the time of writing this article.

In many countries, the administration of growth hormones replacement therapies are banned and made illegal because of the risks of severe side effects.

Therefore the easiest and safest way is to increase your own body’s natural growth hormone’s production naturally. There are many ways of doing this such as eating the right food, the timing of your meals, your exercise program and of course, supplementation with ghg enhancers to encourage your body to produce more natural human growth hormones.

Wishing you all the best in your quest to feel and look younger.
